Vainupea beach is well-maintained and has dressing booths. The beach also has benches, a boardwalk, rubbish pins and toilets.

Summering became fashionable in Estonia after the abolition of serfdom at the end of the 19th century. About a century ago, Vainupea was already a busy holiday spot.
