V\u00f5sul Liiva t\u00e4nava \u00e4\u00e4res kinnistul nimega Tammesaare elas veidrikust prohvet Johannes Borgmann, kes kandis p\u00f5iki \u00fcle rinna pasunat ja kuulutas oma s\u00f5numit \u201eH\u00e4da tuleb!\u201c nii kohalikele kui ka suvitajaile. Rikastele kaptenitele kuulutas ta nii: \u201eVarsti ei ole teil enam maju ega laevu ja te olete sama vaesed kui mina.\u201c Ettekuulutus t\u00e4itus 1940. aastal.\u00a0<\/span>Tegelikult kuulus Borgmann \u00f5igeusu Leesi P\u00fcha Nikolai kogudusse ja oli elukutselt r\u00e4tsepmeister, kes \u00f5mbles veekindlaks immutatud kangast v\u00e4ga n\u00f5utud meremehe\u00fclikondi ja \u00f5likuubesid. Prohvet ehitas oma krundile rahva poolt Borgmanni lossiks ristitud kahekordse maja koos kirikuga ning puhus laup\u00e4eva- ja p\u00fchap\u00e4evahommikuti hoone tornis pasunat, kutsudes k\u00f5iki jumalateenistusele. Pole teada, et keegi oleks tema kirikus k\u00e4inud. On a premises named Tammesaare (Estonian for \u2018Oak Island\u2019<\/i>) on Liiva street (\u2018sand\u2019 <\/i>in Estonian) in V\u00f5su lived a peculiar prophet by the name of Johannes Borgmann who donned a horn across his chest and announced his message: \u2018Calamity is coming!\u2019 to locals and holidaymakers alike. To rich sea captains he chanted: \u2018Soon you\u2019ll have no houses and no ships and you\u2019ll be as poor as me\u2019. This prophecy came true in 1940.\u00a0<\/span>In fact, Borgmann, a member of the Leesi Orthodox Congregation of Saint Nicholas of Myra (\u2018\u00f5igeusu Leesi P\u00fcha Nikolai kogudus<\/i>\u2019 in Estonian) and a tailor by trade, made exceedingly in-demand mariner suits and oilcloth coats out of waterproof impregnated fabric. This \u2018prophet\u2019 erected on his plot a two-story building with a church, which was named Borgmann Castle<\/i> (\u2018Borgmanni loss<\/i>\u2019 in Estonian) by local folk. From the building\u2019s tower he blew his horn on Saturday and Sunday mornings to call everyone to attend service. No one is known to have attended his church. During the Soviet era, the castle and the church were torn town.\u00a0<\/span>Borgmann\u2019s plot lay in the immediate vicinity of V\u00f5su\u2019s sacred grove which is mainly populated by a group of trees and shrubs. Whether or not Borgmann was associated with this place no one knows. Subscribers to Estonian native faiths performed their sacred rituals here and in other shrines in order to gather strength and soothe the mind. Worshipers also asked for personal good fortune and healing from disease, offering food, ribbons, lace, or money in return.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

In V\u00f5su, auf dem Grundst\u00fcck namens Tammesaare an der Liiva-Stra\u00dfe hat der seltsame Prophet Johannes Borgmann gelebt, der quer auf der Brust ein Blechblasinstrument getragen und seine Botschaft \u201eUnheil kommt!\u201c sowohl Einheimischen als auch Sommerg\u00e4sten kundgetan hat. Reichen Kapit\u00e4nen hat er so verk\u00fcndet: \u201eBald werden sie weder H\u00e4user noch Schiffe haben und sie werden genauso arm wie ich.\u201cDie Ank\u00fcndigung ist im Jahr 1940 wahr geworden.\u00a0<\/span>Eigentlich hat Borgmann der orthodoxen St. Nikolai Gemeinde von Leesi angeh\u00f6rt und war dem Beruf nach Schneidermeister, der aus wasserdicht impr\u00e4gnierten Stoffen sehr gefragte Seemannanz\u00fcge und \u00d6ljacken gen\u00e4ht hat. Der Prophet hat auf seinem Grundst\u00fcck ein zweist\u00f6ckiges Haus, das vom Volk Borgmann-Schloss getauft wurde und eine Kirche gebaut sowie samstags und sonntags fr\u00fch im Turm des Geb\u00e4udes auf seinem Blasinstrument geblasen und alle zum Gottesdienst gerufen. Es ist nicht bekannt, dass jemand seine Kirche besucht h\u00e4tte. In der Sowjetzeit wurden der Schloss und die Kirche zerst\u00f6rt.\u00a0<\/span>In unmittelbarer N\u00e4he des Grundst\u00fccks von Borgmann liegt die Stelle des heiligen Hains von V\u00f5su, dessen wichtigstes Objekt eine Gruppe von B\u00e4umen und B\u00fcschen war. Ob Borgmann auch mit diesem eine Beziehung hatte, ist nicht bekannt. An Land-Religion glaubende Menschen haben hier wie auch an anderen heiligen St\u00e4tten religi\u00f6se Handlungen vorgenommen, um Kr\u00e4fte zu sammeln und Sinne zu st\u00e4rken. Man hat auch um pers\u00f6nliches Gl\u00fcck und Genesung von Krankheiten gebeten, als Gaben wurden Lebensmittel, B\u00e4nder, Garn oder Geld gebracht.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
